Keheewin School/Parent Council Message

Thanks to everyone who came out to our last meeting.  We had a math consultant from Edmonton Public Schools speak to us.  She was very informative!  The way our kids are learning math is all very new and exciting and we learned some new games we can play with our kids.

Speaking of math games … the family math games night was great.  My son really enjoyed it and realized math can be fun!

Thanks to everyone who supported the magazine fundraiser.  The Parent Society raised some much needed funding that we will put back into the school.  We did not sell the entertainment books this year but the magazine fundraiser turned out to be a much better success.  We raised more money and it was easier on the volunteers as well.  For those of you who bought magazines and you intend to keep the subscription going, please don’t renew when the particular magazine sends you a renewal notice.  You will be able to renew your subscription through the school fundraiser next year and a portion of the proceeds will go back to Keheewin.  A win/win for sure!

Our next meeting will be Monday, February 22 at 7:00.  Come on out and get first hand knowledge of what’s going on with the school.  We will also be talking about getting some spirit wear for the students so stay tuned for more information.
