Calling all new bus riders! 

Future bus riders and their families are invited to the Edmonton EXPO Centre on Monday, August 24 for the annual First Riders event. This free back-to-school event helps students learn how to ride the bus safely through hands-on activities and guided bus tours.

The event is open to all K–6 students who are new to riding the school bus, along with Grade 7 students preparing to ride Edmonton Transit Service (ETS) for the first time. 

Afternoon sessions run every half hour from 1:00–2:30 p.m. 

Evening sessions run every half hour from 5:30– 7:00 p.m.

Please register by August 21 to save your spot.  

A new video is available to help parents feel prepared for their child to start taking the bus. If you are new to Yellow Bus Service, or will be for the 2024-25 school year, this video will answer many of your questions such as:
